Remembering September 11, 2001
Sixteen years ago today, our country encountered true evil. Three thousand lives were lost. The heart of a city was destroyed. The heart of every American bled. However, we did not let that evil destroy us. We saved the lives that could be saved. We rebuilt the heart of the city. The heart of every American became stronger, strengthened by love and perseverance. We came together as brothers and sisters, as Americans. We proved, united we stand divided we fall. We stood united. We proved that we will never surrender to evil. We proved that we will never be defeated.
Today, we remember the beautiful lives that were lost on that tragic day. We pray for their families who feel the pain of their loss and remind them that we will never forget. Today, we honor our military, first responders, and all those who helped when help was so desperately needed. The best way we can honor these brave and beautiful souls is, not only to remember but to continue to stand united, keep our hearts filled with love for each other and our country, and to never stop fighting Islamic Terrorism.
We are one nation under God. United we stand. Divided we fall. Remembering these FACTS is the best way to honor those we lost, those who fought and fight for us, and those who survived. God bless America!
